In 1957, Clovis Oligny, being a general construction contractor, started his own business in the field of residential, commercial and industrial construction, the sale and installation of inground pools under the name of CLOVIS OLIGNY CONSTRUCTION. A few years later, in 1972, he built another building, in order to set up the very first specialized business in the region, on Jacques Cartier Street in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, in the sale and service of above-ground swimming pools and excavations, as well as all related products. He then renamed his company PISCINES JACQUES CARTIER Inc.
In 1986 his son Francois Oligny followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the business. It was also a few years later that we formed the Sima Group with 15 other shareholders in order to exchange ideas and increase our bargaining power.
In 1999 and in 2003 two major fires completely destroyed our facilities, we will always come out stronger! We are now located at 25 Boulevard Omer Marcil in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
